Casa Sandoval is situated in Hayward, California, centrally located in the heart of Alameda County, providing excellent freeway access to the Bay Area. Traveling on highways 101 and 92, Hayward is just 25 miles south of San Francisco and 14 miles south of Oakland traveling on Interstates 880 and 580.

Casa Sandoval is within walking distance to the Hayward Senior Center which is one of two senior facilities provided by the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District. The Hayward Senior Center is open to all Older Adults, 60 years of age or older and is located at 22325 North Third Street. The Center offers special events, bingo, delicious lunches, classes, pool tables, activities, day trips and tours, computer laboratories with Internet access and libraries. The Hayward Area Senior Center also has a full service woodshop.

Formerly known as "The Little Theatre", the Douglas Morrisson Theatre is a beautiful 250-seat theatre which offers high quality "live" theatre, musicals and concerts throughout the year. Performances are given Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

Adjacent to Casa Sandoval is the award winning Japanese Gardens where a leisurely walk will take you through three acres of Japanese and native California trees, rocks and plants arranged in traditional Japanese style. Several viewing pavilions allow for wonderful photo opportunities in addition to a wonderful teahouse and koi pond.

The Sulphur Creek Nature Center is a wildlife center dedicated to bringing people and animals closer together. There are live animal displays featuring local species, a Discovery Center, group wildlife education programs, wildlife rehabilitation program, special events, nature study classes, volunteer programs, and outreach activities. The park provides picnic facilities and a nature trail. The Sulphur Creek Nature Center is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00am to 4:30pm.
